Veturi Shopping Centre is a meeting place for local residents, combining active urban life with the most diverse shopping opportunities in Southeast Finland. As its name suggests (Veturi, meaning locomotive), the shopping centre is a commercial locomotive in the Kouvola region that respects the city's history as a traditional marketplace and railway city. Veturi has allowed for the commercial appeal of the Kouvola region to be strengthened, reaching areas like Kotka, Lahti and Lappeenranta.

The shopping centre has 1,800 free parking spaces and 190 spots for bicycles. Veturi is accessible via local routes 1, 2 and 7 and the Onnibus stop is also located in Veturi's yard area.

The shopping centre attracted 3.2 million visitors in 2019 with total sales of 126.5 million euros.
